Brief Overview:

Operation RUSH is a two-day criminal interdiction course which breaks down traffic stops into segments consisting of initial violation, location of stop and stopping sequence, exterior and interior indicators, legal options, roadside interviews, arrest and documentation. There is also hands-on vehicle searches in which vehicles are setup with the most up-to-date indicators and finds. K9 officers are encouraged to attend with their partners.

Every traffic stop is a story waiting to be told. From drug arrests to warrants to robbery suspects to serial killers all these suspects have been arrested during traffic stops.  Criminals are most vulnerable while in transit, going from point A to point B. How will you write the pages of your story?

This class is designed to help you look beyond the traffic stop and recognize indicators of criminal activity such as paraphernalia associated with each type of drug.  For example, the meaning of a bent paperclip or a twist tie and its relation to opiate use, in addition to understanding clothing like SRH, No Bad Idea, and many more.
